New for 2018- The Loon’s Nest Chalet is going under renovations this spring and will be completed for May 19th opening!
The Loon’s Nest Chalet is our second largest Chalet. This jewel of the north is located only feet from the water and is approx. 3000 square feet, with 6 bedrooms and 4 ½ bathrooms.
Loon’s Nest
At the back end of the chalet is a deck and entry door to a mud room with a large storage closet. Inside the closet is a small freezer to accommodate any extra frozen food a large group would have. The laundry room is located off the mud room and also has a large storage closet. Entering the main chalet is the kitchen with hickory hardwood floors, ample cupboards and counter space and a large pantry.
There is a shower room off the kitchen with a sink and stand up shower. The dining room also has hickory hardwood floors a large picture window and adjacent patio door both offering an outstanding view of Eagle Lake.
The oak dining room table seats eight comfortably. The carpeted living room has a large lakeside picture window, entertainment centre with flat screen TV, satellite receiver and DVD. Two leather couches and a recliner make for comfortable relaxation in this room. The stairs lead from the living room to a loft sitting area with a couch, chair and a second TV.
The Bedrooms
The loft bathroom has a one piece tub/shower, vanity and toilet. The loft bedroom #1 has a double and single bed. All of the bedrooms have pine dressers and night stands and Northwood designed comforters. Bedroom #2 on the main floor off the living room has a queen bed and single bed and a large closet. Bathroom #2 has a Jacuzzi tub/shower, vanity and toilet and storage closet. The pool table room is located off the living room and is a large room finished in knotty pine. Bedroom #3 is located off the pool table room and has a queen bed and double/single combination bed. We have a spiral staircase leading from the pool table room to the lower floor. This staircase leads to bathroom #3 which also has a one piece tub/shower, vanity and toilet.
The hot tub room is lake side and also accessed from this stairwell hall way and contains a seven person hot tub. The room is completely lined with cedar wood and has a patio door offering a beautiful view of Eagle Lake and access to the lake side deck. Bedroom #4 is accessed from this stair well hall way and has a queen bed and single bed as well as a clothes closet. Bedroom #5 is accessed from the same hallway and has a queen bed and a double/single combination bed and a large storage closet.
There is another lower floor entry door on the east end of the chalet that allows access to the lower floor. This entry door leads to a hallway with a small one bedroom ( 6th bedroom and 4th bathroom) cabin called the Bear’s Den. This separate unit is ideal for a larger group that has one or two people that can be accommodated separately from the main party. Please note that we have a minimum number of adults required for the chalets. If a chalet is available and not during our peak season, we have put in smaller parties, please inquire regarding availability and rates. The chalets reserve Friday-Friday or if reservation is shorter than 7 days, between the Friday-Friday during our peak season. There are no room charges for children under the age of 16 providing the minimum adult requirements are made.
