The following species related regulations detail our current fishing size and limit regulations that are in force on Eagle Lake. We have a trophy only policy that we follow at Cedar Point Lodge that states that we do not allow a fish over the slot size to be processed (fillet) and strongly stand by this policy. You are allowed by law to keep a fish over the slot size but we will only allow it as a trophy. This means the fish will be wrapped up to be sent to a taxidermist.
We encourage people to take a picture and take measurements of length and girth of a fish to have a replica made. This policy has been in force at our lodge as well as most of the resorts on Eagle Lake. I would be concerned if a lodge did not encourage this type of conservation! When measuring a fish, the length must be taken from the tip of the mouth of the fish to the end of the tail of the fish with the tail pinched. Please see the following diagram.
*PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO ANGLING AT NIGHT FOR ANY SPECIES ON EAGLE LAKE.
