Boats and Motors
At Cedar Point Lodge, we operate a fleet of 17 ½’ Lund Outfitter boats with 40 and 50 HP Yamaha 4-stroke engines. Our upgrade boat is our 18 ft. Crestliner Kodiak boats with 50 h.p. power tilt four stroke Yamaha motors with GPS depth finders. Bow mount trolling motors can be added (additional charge) to your boat rental but we do have a limited number of these available. Our boats are kept in good working order and we have a 4200 SQ’ heated shop to maintain our equipment as well as our own welding shop to do repairs to our props and lower units. Fuel is not included with boat rentals and will be charged at the going rate.
Marina
The marina at Cedar Point Lodge is the hub of our operation and there are many reasons why we feel it is one of the best in our area. Whether you use our resort boats or bring your own boats, you can be sure that your investment is protected. We believe that we have the only marina with a rock break wall which protects our marina from the prevailing westerly winds. We have a concrete launch ramp for easy loading and unloading of boats. We have a floating dock system with GFI protected outlets placed every 20′. If you bring your own boat, a 25 foot cord will be ample length to reach a power source. You can drive down to our marina which has ample room for launching boats.
On site you can purchase regular unleaded (non ethanol) fuel as well as mixing oil for 2-stroke engines. At our bait shop we have minnows and our prices are the same at they charge in Vermilion Bay.
